When should I reserve my session?
Babies tend to come on their own schedule, and we understand that the days after baby is born can become very overwhelming. It is best to reserve your session in advance so that you do not have to worry about it, we will book your session for your due date, and then adjust as needed.
How old should my baby be?
Babies are best when photographed within their first 5-10 days. If the hospital stay is extended, for any reason, we will work together to schedule the session as soon as it is safe. Please keep in touch and we will schedule for as early as possible.
Where will the session take place?
For your convenience, all of Rachael McKenna Photography's newborn sessions take place within the comfort of your own home. We will set up in the largest room, usually a nursery or living room, with a lot of open space.
How long will the session last?
The session will last approximately 2 hours, but will depend on baby. The session will last as much as 4 hours, with time for nursing, changing, and wrapping between poses.
Do you provide the knit outfits and accessories for the session?
Yes! We will work together to plan a cohesive session together, and all outfits, headbands, wraps, etc will be provided for you.
Can we incorporate a special item/prop in the session?
Of course!! I love to get creative in planning. Please discuss all items/props with me beforehand so that I am prepared with any matching backdrops or accessories.
